Roma \u0130mparatorlu\u011fu&#8217;nun \u00e7\u00f6k\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnden sonra Lefko\u015fa, \u015fehri istilac\u0131lardan korumak i\u00e7in etraf\u0131na devasa bir duvar in\u015fa eden Bizansl\u0131lar taraf\u0131ndan y\u00f6netildi. 1191&#8217;de Lefko\u015fa, \u015fehri 300 y\u0131ldan fazla elinde tutan Ha\u00e7l\u0131lar taraf\u0131ndan ele ge\u00e7irildi. 1489&#8217;da Lefko\u015fa, \u015fehri 200 y\u0131ldan fazla y\u00f6neten Venedikliler taraf\u0131ndan fethedildi. 1571&#8217;de Lefko\u015fa, \u015fehri 300 y\u0131ldan fazla y\u00f6neten Osmanl\u0131lar taraf\u0131ndan ele ge\u00e7irildi. 1878&#8217;de K\u0131br\u0131s, \u0130ngiliz y\u00f6netimi alt\u0131na al\u0131nd\u0131. 1960&#8217;ta K\u0131br\u0131s, Birle\u015fik Krall\u0131k&#8217;tan ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131zl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 kazand\u0131 ve bir cumhuriyet oldu. G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde surlar y\u00fcr\u00fcy\u00fc\u015f, ko\u015fu ve bisiklet i\u00e7in pop\u00fcler bir noktad\u0131r.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Venedik S\u00fctunu:<\/strong>Lefko\u015fa&#8217;n\u0131n (Lefko\u015fa) eski kentinde, 7 metre y\u00fcksekli\u011finde bir s\u00fctunun bulundu\u011fu bir meydanla kar\u015f\u0131la\u015facaks\u0131n\u0131z. Bu s\u00fctun, Venedik y\u00f6netimi s\u0131ras\u0131nda 1489&#8217;da Lefko\u015fa&#8217;ya ta\u015f\u0131nm\u0131\u015f ve aslen Salamis antik kentinden getirilmi\u015ftir. Selimiye Camii, K\u0131br\u0131s&#8217;\u0131n en b\u00fcy\u00fck camilerinden biridir ve Osmanl\u0131 mimarisinin \u00e7arp\u0131c\u0131 bir \u00f6rne\u011fidir.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>B\u00fcy\u00fck Han:<\/strong> Lefko\u015fa&#8217;n\u0131n (Lefko\u015fa) tarihi eski kentinde, Kuzey K\u0131br\u0131s&#8217;\u0131n en b\u00fcy\u00fck ve en g\u00fczel kervansaray\u0131 olan &#8220;B\u00fcy\u00fck Han&#8221;\u0131 bulacaks\u0131n\u0131z. Bu kervansaray, Osmanl\u0131lar\u0131n b\u00f6lgeyi Venediklilerden geri almas\u0131ndan sadece bir y\u0131l sonra, 1572&#8217;de in\u015fa edilmi\u015ftir. K\u0131br\u0131s&#8217;\u0131n ilk Osmanl\u0131 valisi olan Muzaffer Pa\u015fa, Bursa&#8217;daki benzer bir binadan esinlenerek B\u00fcy\u00fck Han&#8217;\u0131n in\u015fas\u0131n\u0131 emretti. Cami, 16. y\u00fczy\u0131lda tan\u0131nm\u0131\u015f bir Osmanl\u0131 komutan\u0131n\u0131n ad\u0131n\u0131 alm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r ve klasik Osmanl\u0131 mimarisiyle \u00fcnl\u00fcd\u00fcr. Arab Ahmet Camii, adadaki tek T\u00fcrk camisi olmas\u0131 bak\u0131m\u0131ndan benzersizdir ve onu di\u011fer dini yap\u0131lardan ay\u0131ran sade ama zarif bir tasar\u0131ma sahiptir. Cami in\u015fa edilmeden \u00f6nce, site caminin in\u015fas\u0131 s\u0131ras\u0131nda y\u0131k\u0131lan eski bir kiliseye ev sahipli\u011fi yap\u0131yordu. Arab Ahmet Camii&#8217;nin en belirgin \u00f6zelliklerinden biri, 14. y\u00fczy\u0131la kadar uzanan tarihi mezar ta\u015flar\u0131n\u0131n varl\u0131\u011f\u0131d\u0131r. Bu mezar ta\u015flar\u0131 b\u00fcy\u00fcleyici tasar\u0131mlara sahiptir ve baz\u0131lar\u0131 bir zamanlar K\u0131br\u0131s&#8217;ta ikamet eden Venedikli ailelere aittir.
